There might be an inherent paradox with the Audi Q2 All-Wheel Drive, cause those who want a small crossover don’t actually need AWD, and usually when somebody wants an AWD then he doesn’t want a small crossover, but even so this vehicle is happening. What you got here is a plucky little thing that can deal with a variety of situations and will rarely let you down. The car comes with a couple of good engines too, 150PS 2.0 TDI quattro and 190PS 2.0 TFSI quattro S tronic. The latter sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 141 mph. Trim wise you get S line and Edition #1 specification, and as for fuel economy the former does 44.8mpg combined and 144g/km and the latter 44.1mpg combined and 146g/km.
The quattro system on Audi Q2 All-Wheel-Drive is a pretty sophisticated one. Ensuring optimal traction and handling under any road conditions, the quattro system’s electrohydraulically actuated multi-plate clutch distributes torque continuously between the axles. Its seven-speed S tronic incorporates a freewheeling mode when the standard Audi drive select handling system is set to “efficiency” mode, and with the start-stop function, the engine already shuts off when speed drops to 4.3mph.
As for the specs, standard kit on the S-Line include LED headlights, an LED interior lighting pack, S line interior and exterior styling cues, 18-inch alloy wheels, C-pillar blades in matt Titanium grey and front sports seats, plus Audi Smartphone Interface, SD card-based MMI Navigation and Audi connect infotainment service package, light and rain sensors and Audi drive select. The unique Edition #1 gets 19-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels and Quantum grey paint, which is used exclusively here, a black styling pack and Manhattan grey contrast bumpers, wheel arch trims, side skirts and bumper inserts, plus sports seats in Granite grey Fine Nappa leather with Amaretto brown contrast stripes and stitching, a multi-coloured LED interior lighting pack.
